Please don't forget to bookmark our site before you leave.

4car.. one of the web's better car oriented sites is Channel 4's 4car offering. It has the same down-to-earth feel as the sister TV programme, Driven, and both are notable for their informed view of imports and importing.

Carsurvey.org. A local, independent, and amazingly comprehensive database of car reviews written by actual owners. This is a fascinating site covering just about any vehicle you care to think of, and one that could save you hours of slog when planning your next car purchase. Honest opinions from real owners that explode a few myths along the way.

Mitsubishi FTO links. If you are looking for more information on Mitsubishi's cult coupe, then this is the place to start. Some of the Japanese sites are totally wacky and their use of English can be hirrarious. Then again, it's better than my Japanese.

Office of Fair Trading. Tips from HM Gov on buying a used car and your rights as a consumer. Use the OFT pages in conjunction with the carsurvey.org site and you shouldn't go too far wrong.

Autotrader Interactive. Cars, spares, accessories, searches and more from the UK's most visited motoring web site. The classified section is essential reading for those elusive bargains - not to mention ringers, two-halfers, nicked alloys, dodgy home traders... only kidding.

Russ Swift If you have been to any major motorsport event, the chances are that you will have seen various vehicles driven round at amazing speeds - but using only two wheels. That will be Darlington-based display driver Russ Swift. One time British Autotest Champion and current Guinness Book of Records holder for precision parking, Russ is a good mate of many years standing. If like me you struggle to park in a straight line and have never driven a car on two wheels, well not intentionally anyway, then check out his web site. Best of all try to catch a display. The man is so talented I don't know how we have stayed friends for so long.

Des Wheatley is a very talented Rallycross driver with a seriously quick Metro and, like Russ above, is often seen on two wheels but sadly often not intentionally. On his new website Des lists his hobbies as SAFC, real ale, mountain biking, working all night, welding and flower arranging. Desmond is currently taking a bit of a sabbatical whilst his bairns Rebecca and Dominic follow in their Dad's footsteps by having a crack at Karting. The competitive streak seems to be genetic, but hopefully they will avoid the tyre wall at Rowrah.
