expensive mistakes.. recently we have been fielding a number of telephone calls from individuals who have fallen foul of the recent changes to UK type approval regulations as detailed in the section below. Please note that if you are intending to import a vehicle into the UK, that does not meet the personal import requirements and that was first registered in it's country of origin after 31/12/1996, then you will definitely need supporting documentation known as a model report - even before you can apply for an SVA test. Model reports can cost thousands of pounds to produce and are often available to rent from specialists such as modelreports.com.  If a model report for a particular vehicle is not available then almost certainly it will not be an economical proposition for a private individual to create one. The unsuspecting, or perhaps more accurately, the under-researched importer will be left with a vehicle that cannot be registered and one that is suitable for spares only and valued accordingly.

import consultancy..
  if you are intending to import a new or used vehicle into the UK, you may be interested to learn that we offer a range of services including shipping, insurance, customs clearance, SVA preparation and UK registration. In the case of those who are returning to the UK from Japan, we can put you in touch with our Japanese agents who, for a fixed fee, will handle the de-registration procedure and put your car on the boat. Have a look at Testimonials and see what our customers and clients say.

insurance quotes..
  Tescos, AON, and Frizzell would appear to be the best of the bunch at the moment. Tett Hamilton seem very competitive for double cabs. Privilege are as professional as ever and Churchill, despite the cute bulldog are, from our own and our customers experiences, the exact opposite.
