If you are thinking about buying a secondhand car, we are convinced that, in addition to simple price considerations, there are a number of advantages in buying an imported Japanese vehicle. Their inherent reliability, almost complete lack of corrosion, unmarked interiors, low recorded mileage, superior specification etc. We go in to these matters in greater detail on our Japanese Information page.
There are a number of items however which do require conversion and these are incorporated in the SMC Import Package, the cost of which, unless otherwise stated or agreed, is included in the retail price of our Japanese imports.
A copy of all import documentation and a guarantee that all duties have been paid.
12 months MOT and SVA certificate where applicable.
6 months road fund licence, DOT 1st registration fee and number plates.
A minimum of 3 months parts and labour warranty with MB&G Insurance Services Ltd.

UK Conversion including MPH speedometer, lighting and radio frequency expander.
Waxoyl anti-corrosion treatment.
Full pre-delivery inspection, major service including timing belt check and replacement where appropriate.
