When I first decided to investigate a Del Sol for my wife I concentrated on UK cars. After viewing several, I became convinced that I would not find a rust free example. I then saw your web site I thought that I would give you a try, without much hope I must add!

Over the course of the rebuild, I was in constant touch with Malcolm who supplied me with a succession of quality used parts, along with contacts and valuable free advice. Only on one occasion did I go elsewhere for parts, and these were faulty, incurring extra labour costs and delay to the re-build in removing them from the car. We purchased a Mazda MX5 Roadster V Spec from SMC in November 2004.  We found Denise and Malcolm very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the car.  We live quite a distance from Co Durham and until the sale we had only communicated by email or phone. We had been looking for an MX5 for a while and had searched on the internet and had visited several showrooms.  Their website is by far the most informative and easy to use.  At the garages / dealers we visited the sales people were the usual pushy types and the cars were poor.  So it was quite an undertaking to enter into the purchase a this car, and make a deposit, without actually seeing the car in the 'flesh' so to speak. We only did this as we had such good service from Denise and Malcolm who sent us loads of information about the car and its history as well as many photographs.  When we arrived at SMC we were warmly welcomed and the car was exactly as they had informed us. The car had been given the 'Import Package' even though it was a car that they had originally imported and were selling again.  Whilst there the car aerial decided to get stuck and Malcolm replaced it there and then. Denise drove us to, the local post office to get the road tax disc. In December we received a package from Denise, which contained extra spare keys for the car which the previous owner had handed in. We have been really impressed and pleased with the purchase of this car and the service / customer care / after service. We would highly recommend SMC to other potential buyers.  Denise and Malcolm have proved to us that there are decent trustworthy dealers out there and believe me you have to look high and low to find them.
