The following images should give you an idea of the condition and lack of corrosion on an FTO just imported from Japan.
The lack of underbody protection is evident and this is why it is essential to have the underside properly treated if it is to withstand the rigours of UK winters. We use a mixture of underseal and corrosion inhibitors - either Waxoyl or Tetraseal.

If you are not confident that you can complete the job, then it should be entrusted to a specialist.
